Welcome to our new blog!
Things are finally getting back to normal after the wedding – I am back to work and Matt is back to his business travels. He was in NC this week and had to get up at 3am to make a super-early flight this morning back to Nashville. He is here until Sunday morning and then he is headed to another job (the destination escapes me!).
Last night was pretty interesting – a few of the neighborhood kids came by to show me a lost dog who looked like she had seen better days. They wanted to know if I had an extra collar, so I gave them one of Shelbie’s old ones and a spare leash. Of course the dog was an absolute sweetheart and gave me a big hug. The kids were going to take her through the neighborhood and see if (1) she belonged to anyone – which I doubt and (2) see if anyone would take her in. The little girl said that her mom told her just to let her go but I said if they couldn’t find anyone to keep her, to bring her back to the house and I would keep her in the garage till we could take her to the vet.
Seriously…my house is not the house to bring a stray animal to!
Anyway, the kids never came back so hopefully there was a happy ending.
Not much else going on – I am desperately needing to do some late spring cleaning, but I can’t get motivated. I like to expunge of things I don’t need anymore twice a year so I don’t turn into a pack rat
