A case of the “Mondays”

It all started with my alarm not going off this morning. These are the days I miss Matt. When he is at home working, he always wakes me up. Luckily this is a short week since we are off for the 4th.

No major awesomeness to report from the weekend – Matt left on Sunday morning and the puppies and I laid around all day watching tv. I have been instructed not to watch any more ‘booger shows” while he is gone – but MSNBC has some interesting murder investigation shows that hard to turn off. I am still allowed to watch ”Intervention” and “Lockup” which remind me how good our lives are.

Random Question…is it common for neighbors to set up lawn chairs in their garages and just sit there watching cars go by and having a drink? Just wondering if this is a Tennessee thing. The garage is the last place I would want to lounge.

  1. Having lived in Rural Tennessee for many years, I can tell you that lounging in the garage is very common. I think it came from the demise of the big front porch, where people would sit in the evening and count Chevys and Fords and talk about baseball. The garage is a natural place to move this activity. Usually the folding chairs are already there and there’s a shady place for the beer
